Let It Bleed have been trying to book San Franciso’s Avalon Emerson to play their hometown for yonks; it’s finally happening and we couldn’t be more thrilled for them. Hooray! Recognised as one of the world’s finest crate-diggers and party starters, Storytime are excited to have Dekmantel regular and Boiler Room favourite Young Marco gracing the stage of Edinburgh’s La Belle Angele tonight. Childcare @ The Hug & Pint, Glasgow, 6 Oct

London art-punks Emma Topolski, Rich Le Gate and Glyn Daniels released their latest EP as CHILDCARE, Luckyucker, in July. Their 2017 EP, Made Simple is full of equally catchy bangers, so be sure to head down to The Hug & Pint tonight to hear them in all their infectious indie-pop wonder. Tickets £7

SWG3 presents Prince x Late Nite Tuff Guy Tribute @ SWG3 Galvanizers, Glasgow, 6 Oct

After a sell-out show back in October 2017, SWG3 are delighted to welcome Australia’s Carmelo Bianchetti back for the much anticipated return of his Prince x Late Nite Tuff Guy tribute show. Taking over SWG3’s Galvanizers space, Late Nite Tuff Guy is once again set to deliver an unmissable audio and visual tribute to The Purple One. Nightvision: Solardo presents Higher @ The Liquid Room, Edinburgh, 13 Oct

Edinburgh promoters Nightvision, not content with just throwing a gigantic Halloween party this month (more on that later) are also bringing Manchester’s Solardo to Edinburgh tonight. The Manchester duo of Mark Richards and James Eliot will be playing their extended set, Higher, with A-Z, Bontan, Griff, Lauren Jane, Mark Jenkyns and special guest Riva Starr also helping bring the party to Edinburgh’s iconic Victoria Street. Cassia @ Cafe Drummond, Aberdeen, 24 Oct

Macclesfield three-piece Cassia have been hard at it this summer and are back out on the road for a pretty hefty tour this month. Describing their sound as calypso afro-rock, Cassia will most definitely bring a slice of sunshine to Aberdeen’s Cafe Drummond tonight. If you like Vampire Weekend then we’d suggest you head along and check them out; their latest EP Movers & Shapers is truly uplifting. Tickets £9

Brownbear @ Midnight Breakfast Club, Bathgate, 27 Oct

Formerly known as Brown Bear and the Bandits, Brownbear released their debut album What Is Home? back in April and are out on the road this month to celebrate its very existence. The four-piece from Ayrshire, fronted by Matt Hickman, are stopping in tonight at Bathgate’s Midnight Breakfast Club to round off the October leg of their tour. Tickets £8

Terminal V @ The Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh, 27 Oct

The UK’s biggest Halloween electronic music event is back at Ingliston’s Royal Highland Centre, and this year’s party features some of the biggest names in dance music for an 11 hour party across four stages. The Black Madonna, Amelie Lens, Len Faki, Sam Paganini, Robert Hood, Eats Everything, Moodymann, George FitzGerald, Krystal Klear, Eclair Fifi, Or:la, Optimo and more will all be in on hand to help get things well spooky today in the capital.
