Bringing together some of the city's favourite DJs, Choose Love Manchester will take over Gorilla's bar and studio on Sat 17 Jun to pay respect to those lost, injured and otherwise affected by the recent terror attack at Manchester Arena, while also celebrating the Manchester music scene and spreading love in the face of terror.

With a suggested entry of £5 and voluntary contributions at the bar, all money raised will be going towards the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. There'll also be raffle tickets on sale for some very special prices and t-shirts, both at the venue and online, and a JustGiving page has been set up for those who cannot attend but wish to take part.

Organised by local DJ Kevin Swindells, along with other well-known figures of the Manchester scene, the name of the event has been inspired by the final line of This is the Place, the Tony Walsh poem performed at the recent vigil in Albert Square: "Choose love, Manchester."

DJs on rotation include Bobby James (Reform Radio / Astro Travellin’), Jim Bane (Eastern Bloc Recs / Soul:ution), Stu Richards (Gorilla / Albert Hall / Luv Dancin’), Gareth Brooks (Ex XFM), Simon Ham (You Dig?), Jonny Shire (Band on the Wall resident), Dan Wainwright (Crazy Pedro’s / Cottonopolis), Ian Williams (Funkademia / Albert Hall), Tom Swallow (Grown Folks Music), Charlie Flieg (Doodle), Andy Shake'N'Fingerpop (Peek A Groove) and Kevin Swindells.
