Shits and Biggles: I Fly Spitfires Announce Summertime Line-ups

I Fly Spitfires have announced their summertime selection of Edinburgh-based giggage

If The Skinny could fly spitfires it would dress something like this.

Alas, our collective of scribes and snappers are sadly lacking in aeronautical expertise but the lucky folks of Auld Reekie can soon appease their disappointment with the next best thing as I Fly Spitfires announce their summertime selection of Edinburgh-based giggage.

Qute honestly, The Skinny hasn’t seen a set of line-ups this hot since it sat down in front of Snoop Dogg’s House Party with a bag of Doritos and a selection of chickpea based dips.

First up in June are combustible punk-popsters Johnny Foreigner, out to wow salivating hoards with a selection of cuts from their scintillating debut LP Waited Up ‘til It Was Light.

Two weeks later, much vaunted drone-mongers – and producers of The Skinny’s record of 2007, no less – The Twilight Sad ride in to town flanked by the - whisper it - soon-to-be-huge Broken Records and banjo plucking laptop tweakers Meursault.

And as if that wasn’t enough, hotly tipped Glasgow gutter-punks Dananananaykroyd will be setting Cabaret Voltaire alight with their epileptic axe-burning at the end of July.

We’re so giddy we’ve just done something in our undercrackers Sir Biggles would never, ever approve of.
