Metallica Announce UK Tour

Those perennial riff manufacturers from San Francisco's Bay Area, Metallica, have announced a full-scale UK tour - their first in 12 years - to kick off in late February 2009.

The dates come in support of the recent Death Magnetic LP (reviewed here) and are as follows:

Sat, 28 Feb, Sheffield Arena

Mon, 2 Mar, The O2 Arena

Tues, 3 Mar, Newcastle Metro Radio Arena

Wed, 25 May, Birmingham LG Arena

Thurs, 26 Mar, Glasgow SECC

Ticket prices are £45 in London and £40 in all other areas. Doors are 6 p.m. except for Glasgow which is is 6.30 p.m. Support comes from Machine Head and The Sword.
