King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and Winterfest Glasgow have confirmed the first of three showcases for this year's ‘Road to Hogmanay’ live music extravaganza.

Set to take place at Glasgow’s George Square at 7pm on Thursday, 27th of November, the event will give Scottish music enthusiasts the chance to vote for their favourite unsigned band to kick-off the city’s Hogmanay celebrations in style. In addition, the runner-up will perform at King Tut’s exclusive New Years party, held annually at the venue’s headquarters in Vincent’s Street.

The showcase, selected by a panel of media and music industry experts, will boast some of the country’s finest up-and-coming talent, including acts: Alex Wayt, Mitchell Museum and Skinny favourites Endor. The winner will be expected to play to a crowd of over 15,000; offering the band the incredible opportunity to showcase their material to a wider audience.

All showcases will be FREE, with two further showcase slots scheduled for Thursday 4th and 11th December.

The public can vote for their favourite at the venue’s website here.
