Born to Be Wide Presents 'German Night' @ Voodoo Rooms, 4 Feb

Feature by Paul Neeson | 13 Jan 2010

Edinburgh’s Born To Be Wide assumes a Germanic pose for February’s gathering at the Voodoo Rooms, celebrating its sixth anniversary by bringing together a cast of local music gurus alongside their German compatriots.

Melding the usual mix of tunes and tutelage, the evening will feature a live set from Berlin-based Jeans Team and a DJ set from spinners Beate Bidenbach, alongside some expert insight from a panel including leading journalist Christian Stollberg and Ingo Beckmann of the Target Concerts booking agency, which has represented several Scottish acts including The Phantom Band, Camera Obscura and Primal Scream.

Throw in a German-themed music quiz, with prizes aplenty for those with their finger on the meticulously regulated pulse, and this evening promises to be a fitting celebration of Born To Be Wide’s ever-growing legacy.

Seminar kicks off at 19.30, with DJ sets to follow from 21.00.

Tickets are exclusively available for £5 here.
