The 2017 edition of the Tramway-programmed festival features a host of performances at events throughout the venue's spaces, as well as a range of pop-up events at venues across Glasgow.

This year's programme features the world premiere of Each Other – a new collaboration between Scottish Ballet and DIG – and the UK premiere of Velvet Petal, the new project from Scottish Dance Theatre, created by SDT artistic director Fleur Darkin and with a score featuring music by LCD Soundsystem, James Holden and Four Tet. One of DIG's centrepieces is Siobhan Davies Dance's material / rearranged / to / be, an immersive piece combining film, performance and objects "to explore how the body feels when in the act of doing" which will run daily in Tramway 2.

The aforementioned Holden also collaborates with dancer Lucy Suggate on new work as part of a pop-up programme at SWG3, while Collective Endeavours, whose members include Mogwai collaborator Luke Sutherland, present an evening of music and dance at Govanhill Baths.

The world premiere of Is this a Waste Land from Charlotte Spencer Projects will see audience members asked to bring an unwanted object to donate to the performance, and "invited into an immersive sonic environment" on a disused outdoor site as dusk falls, while solo dance piece VOID – inspired by JG Ballard novel Concrete Island – will also be performed at dusk, at a flyover of the M74 motorway. DIG also features world premieres by Tramway's new Associate Artists Caroline Bowditch, Joan Clevillé, and Simone Kenyon, and Out Of This World from V-Tol, the dance company of Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony choreography Mark Murphy.

DIG 2017 runs from 21 Apr to 21 May at a variety of venues across Glasgow; full details of this year's programme can be found on the DIG website.
