Share your innovative ideas with TEDxGlasgow

The deadline for the first TEDxGlasgow Award is nigh… Don’t miss out

Article by The Skinny | 08 Mar 2017

Are you bursting with great ideas, but unsure how to channel them, how to get them out into the world? The TEDxGlasgow Award might be for you. The TEDx initiative is looking for innovative ideas that dare to make positive change. And these ideas can come from anywhere: activists, scientists, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, technologists.

You don’t necessarily have to nominate yourself, either. Do you have a colleague, a mentor or a friend who can think big and make things happen? Well then, nominate them!

The idea should take people, the planet, profit and purpose as its starting point; answer a big question; inspire people; and have a link with Scotland. Applicants are judged on three criteria: concept, value and impact. The ten best applicants are asked to present their idea to the judging panel, while the two finalists will present their idea at TEDxGlasgow 2017.

The eventual winner not only joins an elite group of innovators who have been awarded TEDx awards across the globe, but will receive support and coaching from experts aligned to the idea of their project to help make it happen. If this sounds up your street you’ll need to act fast: applications close 9 Mar.
