Robert De Niro's children Google him. The 66-year-old actor raises five children, and although they are not interested in hearing about his movie career they do scour the internet for gossip about him. "My kids aren't too impressed with me," he said. "They don't say very much about my career. Sometimes they Google me, though. And who knows what their friends say?" Robert has tried to give his children a normal upbringing. He believes the reason he has stayed so grounded is because he did not find fame until later in his life. He spent much of the 60s working in theatre workshops and appearing as extras in small productions, making his official debut in 1968 film Greetings. He explained to Parade magazine: "I think it's important to have had at least a few years of obscurity, where people treat you like everybody else. Then it goes crazy, and all of a sudden people behave differently toward you, they're agreeing with you all the time, they're not telling you no. "I'm not very Hollywood. We had a house there, my first wife and our oldest kids. But I never really lived in it much. I like to visit Los Angeles, but I wouldn't want to live there."
