Michael Buble learning Spanish "slowly"

Michael Buble sounds like a "caveman" when he talks to his girlfriend.

The jazz singer is learning Spanish so he can communicate better with Argentinean actress Luisana Lopilato. While Luisana, 22, has mastered English, the Canadian crooner can only manage a few grunts in Luisana's first language.

"My Spanish is not great," the 34-year-old star admitted. "I'm learning slowly. She's showing me up. Her English is flawless and I sound like a caveman when I try to talk Spanish."

Michael and Luisana are currently in Melbourne promoting his new album Crazy Love. It was a difficult record for Michael to write because he was still heartbroken from his 2008 break-up with long-term girlfriend Emily Blunt.

"I was going through a difficult time, personally," he said. "I'm a happy dude, but I wasn't very happy. So it was painful to make, but satisfying that it was not as commercial but has done as well as the ones that were."
