Matthew McConaughey turned 40 this week and has no problem getting older, because his life is better than ever. Matthew celebrated the landmark birthday with his friends and revealed he is looking forward to welcoming his second child with Camila Alves into the world.

"The 30's were good to me and I'm really looking forward to my 40's, 'cause I'm a late bloomer," Matthew said on his Celebrity MySpace page. "Got everything I need for a perfect 40th - a happy and healthy lady, son, and another baby on the way (sic)."

Matthew's party featured music from country star Jamey Johnson and although the bash continued until 4.30am he insists his guests were well-behaved.

He added: "There were some epic stories told, lot of laughs and definitely some roasting. Somehow, no blood or glass broken."

Along with preparing for the birth of his second child, Matthew is also planning to relax his hectic work schedule and catch up with loved ones this year.

He explained: "I want to spend some more time with my family and friends, grillin' steaks and sippin' beers, celebratin' more to live for (sic)." Matthew and Brazilian model Camila already have a 15-month-old son, Levi.
