Mariah Carey denied kittens

Mariah Carey’s request for 20 white kittens has been rejected.

The diva wanted to be surrounded by the baby animals and 100 white doves as she turned on the Christmas lights at London’s Westfield shopping centre.

But British health and safety officials have declined the 39-year-old star’s demands because pets are banned from the complex.

A source told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper: “We did manage to source the doves that we were going to release into the sky, but the kittens proved terribly difficult. In the end, it was made clear that due to health and safety, there was no way we could have the animals at Westfield. We do not allow pets into Westfield - that rule would apply for everyone.”

In her rider, Mariah has also asked for confetti shaped like butterflies, a pink carpet to walk down, 80 security guards - and to travel to and from the event in a Rolls Royce.

The source added: “We have worked extremely hard to make sure that Mariah's event is fantastic. Even the model of car had to be changed six times to one that her people liked.”

Mariah’s entourage are planning a lavish party at London’s Jalouse nightclub to celebrate the launch of the singer’s latest album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel tonight.

The star will make a lavish entrance in a luxury car, before being ushered into the event by dozens of half-naked men dressed in angel costumes. An insider told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Mariah is so excited. She's going all out to make sure it's going to be a party to remember. She'll be arriving in a £300,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom that has an ice-white leather interior with faux fur - it's a favourite of her pal 50 Cent when he's in town.”

Guests will enjoy £250,000 worth of Mariah’s Angel champagne, 2,500 cupcakes and a seafood feast.

The venue will be decorated with 400 long-stem white roses, white drapes and scented candles.

Mariah also has a backup plan in case her husband Nick Cannon can’t make it to the party – she will be accompanied by her dog Jack.

The insider added: “She's hoping Nick will be able to fly in, but just in case she's making back-up plans for her beloved dog Jack to be her guest of honour - hopefully the little Jack Russell will be in adorable angel wings, too.”

Alexandra Burke, Chipmunk, The Sugababes, JLS and Diversity are expected to attend the bash.
