Lindsay Lohan "was dating Heath Ledger"
Lindsay Lohan was dating Heath Ledger when he died, her mother has claimed.
Dina Lohan made the allegation in a 2008 conversation with Lindsay's father Michael Lohan. Michael has released a recording of the discussion to RadarOnline, in which Dina says Heath's death left Lindsay distraught.
Heath died of an accidental overdose of prescription medication in New York in January 2008. Michael has repeatedly claimed Lindsay is battling an addiction of prescription pills, an allegation she has consistently denied.
The new tape is the latest in a string of recordings Michael has released in what he claims is a desperate bid to make his 23-year-old daughter seek professional help.
In the recording, Dina says: "And she was dating Heath when he died. I don't know if you know that, but I know because I would drop her off and they were friends very, very close, OK? His death, that f***ed her up."
Referring to a drug Lindsay takes to treat her Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), she continues: "I'm worried about her. Because when she's drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking."
Dina claims Lindsay cannot sleep on her own as she is still struggling to come to terms with things which happened to her in her childhood. Her father has served time in prison and has a history of drug abuse. Lindsay has also claimed Michael threatened to kill Dina, but he has denied the allegation.
Dina says on the tape: "She cannot be alone. When she sleeps here she sleeps with me, she has fears from being little and what you did to us."
She goes on to criticise Lindsay's on/off relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson. Michael has been vocal about his disapproval of the romance, but it is the first time Dina has been heard discussing it.
She says: "It's very easy for a rational person to say. But for an irrational person who has a problem with her DNA and alcohol and Adderall and asthma and every other things she's got wrong with her."
