Lily Cole poses topless for Pirelli calendar

Lily Cole has posed topless for the Pirelli calendar.

The 21-year-old model stripped off for the iconic publication, which also features 30 images of, among others, Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley and Daisy Lowe.

Lily travelled to Brazil for the shoot, which includes one picture of her in a pool of water with no top on.

The calendar also includes a picture of Daisy and Australian model Catherine McNeil with just a Pirelli tyre covering their bodies, and one of Georgina Stojiljkovic posing with a sloth.

Daisy, 20, explained: “It was quite freeing, being able to be naked for a week.”

The pictures were taken by American photographer Terry Richardson, who said: “I did not really take into consideration anything about age or anything. I work with girls that I know. Obviously everyone's 18 or older.”

Other models to feature in the calendar include Abbey Lee Kershaw, Eniko Mihalik, Marloes Horst, Gracie Carvalho and Ana Beatriz Barros.

It launched with a star-studded party at London’s Old Billingsgate Market last night. All the models were in attendance, while a video of the shoot was played. In it, Daisy was seen covering herself and some of the other models were caught mud-wrestling.

The Pirelli calendar is famed for not being readily available. It can’t be bought, and is only distributed to Pirelli’s customers and chosen VIPs.

It has previously featured provocative shots of Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford.
