Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill has married

30-year-old musician Nathan Followill, the Kings of Leon drummer wed singer Jessie Baylin, 25, in Brentwood, Tennessee, on Saturday. The union was held outside at Wolf Den Farm at 5pm, with dinner and dancing held in a special barn.

Nathan wrote on his Twitter page on Sunday: “I woke up with a married woman in my bed this morning. Luckily she was mine.”

He also posted a picture of his wedding band. On Friday, he told fans how excited he was about the upcoming nuptials, writing: “This time tomorrow night I will be wearing some new jewelry. I'm so excited for tomorrow. A new day, a new life, and a new wife. Thanks Jess.”

The couple had their first dance to an “instrumental Hawaiian lap steel guitar tune”, while their food came from Nashville eatery Miel.

The band’s spokesman told People magazine: “It was a gorgeous 70 degree day and the wedding was beautiful. It was a very love-affirming wedding with lots of warmth and happiness.”

Nathan’s bandmates - his brothers Caleb and Jared Followill and cousin Matthew Followill were all in attendance, along with Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson who went to school with Jessie.

Nathan and Jessie met at a music festival in 2006.
