Katie Price wants to show off to Peter

Katie Price returned to the Australian jungle so Peter Andre will see "the girl he married".

The glamour model hopes her ex-husband will watch the new series of I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here and realise she isn't a "monster". Katie and Peter met and fell in love when they appeared on the UK reality TV show in 2004 and the 31-year-old star hopes starring in it again will remind Peter of their love.

"I can't discuss anything about what Pete thinks about me returning to the jungle," Katie told Britain's OK! magazine. "But hopefully he'll watch the show and realise what a decent person I am. The girl he married, not the monster that's been created in the press. The weird thing is that the Palazzo Versace hotel where the contestants stay is about 10 minutes from where Pete's family live. I hope they watch it too and think, 'That is the Kate we know!' "

Katie - known as Jordan - says the emotion of the last few months really hit her when she was trying on her new I'm a Celebrity outfit.

"When I tried on the shirt and red bottoms again I looked at myself in the mirror and first of all I felt really excited, but then I was quite sad. It brought back so many memories of Pete. It just hit me and suddenly I felt so upset about the way things turned out."
