Joel Madden wears "Price heels"

Joel Madden is so paranoid about his height he wears “Prince heels”.

The Good Charlotte rocker has been on a promotional tour of Australia with his band, and is amazed by how many people have commented on his diminutive stature.

He wrote on Twitter: “Running theme of my trip down under ‘your a lot shorter than you look on tv mate’ (sic).”

The 30-year-old added he takes tips from singer Prince to help boost his size. Prince is around 5ft 3ins, but often wears platform shoes or boots with Cuban heels to make his seem more impressive.

Joel wrote: “I'm 5”9 but can be taller when i dress up like prince and wear my platforms (sic).”

Joel returned to America over the weekend, and was thrilled to be reunited with his partner Nicole Richie and their two children, 22-month-old daughter Harlow and two-month-old on Sparrow.

He wrote: “Back to the land of snakes, rats, leeches and back stabbing blood suckers!!! I've never been so excited! I'm in LA. Dark at 530pm. Awesome. Now this is what I'm talking about (sic).”
