Joel and Benji Madden have quit smoking.

The Good Charlotte rockers decided to go “cold turkey” when they returned to Los Angeles after weeks of touring in Australia. But just 48 hours later, they are already struggling with their decision. Though neither brother has given into their cravings, they both admit they can’t stop thinking about it.

Benji wrote on his Twitter account: “Do all ‘non-smokers’ feel this strung out or just me? Two packs a day to nothing. Holding strong so far, and hanging tight.”

An hour later he posted: “Still hanging tough. Not a single cigarette. How you like me now?”

And an hour after that, he wrote: “No cigs. Holding Strong. Gonna see the family today. And Uncle Benji doesn’t smell like an ashtray. How about that?”

Joel also had smoking on the brain, posting on his page: “Yes I quit smoking. Finally. So far, so good. Cold turkey the only way to go.”
