Heidi Klum returned to the catwalk for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show last night.

The Black Eyed Peas opened the event with Boom Boom Pow – Fergie sang live wearing a black jewelled bodysuit while models presented a range of futuristic outfits.

As the group went on to perform their latest hit single Meet Me Halfway, show host Heidi took to the runway. The crowd went wild as the 36-year-old blonde beauty – who gave birth to her fourth child just last month – appeared on the castle-like stage wearing a purple corset and half gown with poufs of tulle to perform her signature catwalk.

A host of celebrities, including Jay-Z, Russell Simmons and Michelle Trachtenberg, looked on as several beauties showed off lavish underwear decorated with crystals and diamonds.

Sports Illustrated model Marisa Miller wore a $3 million diamond-encrusted bra, thrilling the audience by strutting down the runway at New York’s Lexington Avenue Armory in the dazzling lingerie.

Miranda Kerr dared to bear almost everything as she modelled a skimpy black thong.

Thigh-high boots and faux fur stoles were a prominent accessory, in a show which featured breast plates, romantic lace outfits, and hippie-inspired lingerie.

Designer Patricia Field said: "It's always a spectacular. Victoria's Secret does that extra thing I like."

Five new women were inducted into the Victoria’s Secret Angel ranks – honouring the lingerie house’s top models - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lindsay Ellingson, Emanuela de Paula, Chanel Iman and Candice Swanepoel.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will be aired on CBS on December 1.
