Dita Von Teese’s beauty book is for girls who “dare to be different”.

The burlesque star is putting the finishing touches on an “anti-rules” manual for women who are prefer an individual look. In it, she details her hair, beauty and make-up regime, as well as giving advice on clothing and lingerie.

“It’s a book for girls who hate being told to wear ‘tasteful’ make-up,” the 37-year-old star said. “It’s for girls who dare to be different. My friends who wear natural make-up take longer to put on their natural make-up than I do to put on my unnatural make-up.”

Dita has spent hours writing step-by-step instructions on how to steal her style. If time is limited, she insists women must at least brush their hair and put on some lipstick.

“I do not want to get photographed or even recognised with no make-up at all and my hair looking a mess,” she told The Daily Beast website. “I really feel that it’s important and I’m standing up for what I believe in. I want to get the message out to women that you’ll inevitably feel better if you just take a minute for yourself and do that. I like to remind people that the day you go out looking like a full disaster is the day you’re gonna run into your ex-boyfriend or your ex-husband’s new wife or something crazy like that.”
