Daniel Radcliffe has “categorically” denied smoking marijuana at a party.

The 20-year-old actor dismissed reports he was photographed with a cannabis-laced cigarette, insisting he only ever smokes tobacco.

Daniel’s spokeswoman said: “Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarettes, but he was not doing anything more than this.

“We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today's Daily Mirror newspaper."

Wadia Tazi, a reveller at the party held in North London, alleged he had taken the photographs of Daniel, who appeared to be sporting a moustache drawn on with pen.

Daniel - who rose to fame playing boy wizard Harry Potter in the hit film franchise – has previously denied taking drugs. Just last year he said: “I’ve been around some amazing people and still managed to keep a real childlike view of the world. I’m not into drugs.”

Daniel is currently filming the big screen adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow.
