Cheryl Cole is so nervous about appearing on TV anything she eats "just disintegrates".

The Girls Aloud singer has been gorging on junk food because she is so anxious about being a judge on UK singing contest The X Factor. However, she claims her nerves mean she is still losing weight.

"My heart is beating constantly," the 26-year-old star explained. "So it doesn't matter what I eat. It just disintegrates, which is good because the catering on The X Factor is really nice. A bit too nice at times. They make amazing cakes, banoffee pie, paninis and different meals every weekend."

One of the reason for Cheryl's anxiety is the building "tension" between her and fellow judge Simon Cowell.

The music mogul made Cheryl cry onscreen last month and she says it's getting worse. "There is tension between us on the night," the brunette beauty confessed to OK! magazine.

"He starts getting annoying and saying nasty things. It gets quite heated backstage and quite competitive. He's so rude sometimes, I find myself getting caught up in it."
