Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Gold Lion

There's power chords, catchy chorus, slow drumbeat perfect for raising your lighter in the air and that's just the problem Ð it's all a little too much U2 or Oasis before they were crap

They're back, and it's about damn time. Last album 'Fever to Tell' is one of the best things to ever come out of the New York indie scene and this track, the first single from their mildly anticipated (I'm being sarcastic) forthcoming album is a near-perfect rock song. There's power chords, catchy chorus, slow drumbeat - perfect for raising your lighter in the air and that's just the problem – it's all a little too much U2 or Oasis before they were crap, and not enough of the stuff that made them famous. And Karen O doesn't scream once. [Dorian Williams]
