An organ in its death throes, planet-sized Led Zeppelin riffs and those unmistakable, martial, pounding drums; a new White Stripes record is always something a bit special, and Icky Thump is no exception. But whilst resolutely 'Jack 'n' Meg' this is no laurel-resting exercise. If Get Behind Me Satan did indeed soundtrack Jack White taking over the reigns from Lucifer himself, then Icky Thump could well be his official inauguration to the throne.
