Tunng - It's Because... We've Got Hair

I am slowly going bald, and am therefore naturally disposed to dislike a song called It's Because… We've Got Hair. Way to alienate a potential demographic of 65% of the male record buying public, guys. And that percentage is even higher in the tie-dyed unwashed hippy contingent that this would mostly appeal to. Whereas Tunng's previous single, Jenny Again, was a sublime twist in melancholy folk and electronica, this offering veers closely to the damned pit of the saccharin camp-fire singalong. Of course, that is not necessarily a bad thing, and Tunng's ability to make even a glitch solo sound like a long entrenched part of the folk tradition is a continued joy that no catchy chorus can diminish.
