The Fallout Trust - When We Are Gone

like it's being gurgled down the plughole with the dirty washing-up water

Single Review by Dave Reid | 15 Jul 2006
Single title: When We Are Gone
Artist: The Fallout Trust
Label: At Large
The Fallout Trust are a six-piece hailing from East London, peddling a mangled brand of aspirational guitar pop. Apparently a live signature tune, When We Are Gone is saddled with clunking electronic beats and wishy-washy production. This makes the song sound like it's being gurgled down the plughole with the dirty washing-up water. The impact that this bunch are likely to have is summed up perfectly in the title line: "When we are gone, they'll carry on." I doubt very much that we'll even notice The Fallout Trust's inevitable passing. [Dave Reid]
