The Automatic - Raoul

It's a contagious romp that staggers through your mind like a drunken tornado

Are you a beleaguered cog in the capitalist machine? Do you spend your days wistfully longing for 5pm on a Friday? If so, The Automatic's Raoul is the perfect antidote to the tedium of the working week. Distinctly unchallenging but ebulliently upbeat, it invokes the clocking out camaraderie of the underpaid and over-stimulated masses. It may lack the sneering angularity of The Rakes' 22-Grand Job but it's a contagious romp that staggers through your mind like a drunken tornado. Perhaps not choleric enough to force your resignation, Raoul will undoubtedly make you reconsider that unpaid overtime. [Billy Hamilton]
