Sharem Jey - In My Blood

The second single from Cologne producer, Sharem Jey’s forthcoming album, ‘In My Blood’ is served up in no less than eight versions here.

The vocal-contribution from Nik Valentino of Australia’s Lost Valentionos sounds not unlike The Rapture’s Luke Jenner, while the bassline, live-sounding drums and guitar squalls also give the impression that the New York band’s combination of house, disco and punk was definitely an inspiration.

The result is pretty average, with the remix overkill doing no favours. At a push the pick of the bunch is Sharem’s original club version, the others merely adding unnecessary FX and tiresome breakdowns.
