Night Noise Team - Menolick

 

Pulsing harmonic arpeggios and a propulsive beat launch Night Noise Team’s debut single; a persuasively vibrant introduction to a song that never quite fulfils its early promise. The deadpan monotony of Sean Ormsby’s vocals falls short of Interpol’s detached ennui, while the chorus fizzles out, coasting several notches below expectations. However, though not wholly successful, it has enough potential to set tongues wagging, the four-piece already comfortably ahead of past pop-noir practitioners like The Bravery, and with every chance of nipping the heels of The Killers if they manage to find a chorus to go with their moody aura.
