Mr Scruff and Roots Manuva - Nice Up the Function

Any collaboration between the legendary Mr Scruff and Roots Manuva was always going to be worth a listen, and this remix of Nice Up the Function, from Scruff’s 2008 Ninja Tunes album, doesn't disappoint. This perfect example of the pair’s love of mixing eclectic funk, dub and dancehall is a quality party track with heavy reggae beats. This release also features a couple of instrumentals plus the undeniably funky bonus track Listen Up, featuring Broke ‘n’ English, which has a slightly grittier edge. Mr Scruff has a talent for blending hip-hop and dance, continuing to rock his own unique, endearingly quirky style. Wonderful.
