Single title: Busy Doing Nothing
Artist: Love Is All

On Busy Doing Nothing, a suspiciously exuberant paean to the pleasures of apathy, much-discussed Swedish newcomers Love is All do a spot-on impression of a particularly raucous, guitar-wielding, disco outfit. The song's slithery bass line and chugging hi-hats keep things moving, a spidery guitar line whines and squeals like an overheated synthesizer, and everyone goes home happy. This is just the sort of goofy disco fun that New York's early-aughts punk/funk scene promised, but never quite got silly enough to deliver. The single also includes a demo version of Felt Tip and… a Kim Fowley cover? Bizarre! [Andrew Monroe]

This single is out on July 3.
