The once niche market of the troubled troubadour has since become the Camden of the music industry. It takes something special to deem it worth a second play these days but with this effort, Frost and co have jammed the repeat button. What starts out as a sober, solemn affair ascends into a tale of bourbon and, erm... funerals. Frost's voice is immaculate and his lyrics mature way beyond his 22 years. 'The Mourners…' escalates from sparse and charming to almost epic in nature. The theme of loss is predominant but Frost is defiant. An admirable effort. Watch this space. [Finbarr Bermingham]
