Levellers - A Life Less Ordinary / The Cholera Well

Should attract new fans and whet their longstanding legion's appetites equally

Single title: A Life Less Ordinary / The Cholera Well
Artist: Levellers
Label: On the Fiddle
If this free double A-side, released in anticipation of forthcoming Levellers album Letters from the Underground, is anything to go by it's looking to be a good and lively one. A Life Less Ordinary's fervently frolicking chorus is concluded by a piercing fiddle, then a flash in the pan verse provides a quick breath before you're singing along to the chorus again. It's much the same for The Cholera Well. Only the fiddle roams free as Mark Chadwick's vocals descend a rapid scale that illustrates the typically political lyrics. This freebie should attract new fans and whet their longstanding legion's appetites equally. [Shaun Love]
