Stay With Me magically sounds as though it was thrown together in a matter of seconds. This translates as a sense of spontaneity and imbues the vocals with an insidious, inherently soulful quality that seeps through the swampy, voodoo-like bassline. It's this energy that gives the disc an immediate and lasting impact on the ears – something to be both encouraged and applauded in an age where far too many recordings are no more than flash-in-the-pan, one-hit (and one note) wonders. It's a real treasure, and also bodes well for any album that might materialise from this combo. If they can cram this many ideas into 3 minutes, who can say what they’ll do with fifty?
