Indigo Moss - Start Over Again / See See Rider

Hailing from the comfort of South London, Indigo Moss plays a hideous Anglicisation of Appalachian country music. With heavy overtones of the Nashville sound, Start Over Again / See See Rider is an epic atrocity; so monstrous and so bad that it just can't be anything other than good. Kitschy banjo, melodies that will have Tammy Wynette turning in her grave and basic two-step rhythms combine beneath the deadfall of stodgy country. Modern, maudlin pop tunes - Indigo Moss couldn't be any more wrong and yet, somehow, this feels so right. (Neil Ferguson)
