Imperial Vipers - Jewels

influences such as Led Zep, Guns n' Roses and AC/DC mixed with impressive arrangement skills draw them annoyingly close to the finishing-line

Single Review by Chris Nordeng | 16 Apr 2006
Single title: Jewels
Artist: Imperial Vipers
Label: Eminence
If sleaze-rock is about to capture the world again, Imperial Vipers won't be the ones to miss the U.K. bandwagon. While Towers of London can't play more than two chords and The Glitterati suffer from musical impotence, the game should be theirs for the taking. Classic influences such as Led Zep, Guns n' Roses and AC/DC, mixed with impressive arrangement skills draw them annoyingly close to the finishing-line, only to see them stumble and fall in the last seconds. This single is good, but I just don't get that gut-feeling, nor the wee twitch in my crotch I should when hearing misogynistic rock like this. [Chris Nordeng]
The single is released March 27. http://www.imperialvipers.com
