Blatta and Inesha - Confused 90s: Switched on Ramirez

Dust off your whistles and break open your glow sticks: Sicilian duo Blatta and Inesha, rising stars of today's electro-house scene, have been given the green light by Hell Yeah recordings to inject some of '90s techno supergroup Ramirez's tunes with a dose of squelchy bludgeon. This 4-track EP kicks off with a raw-power remix of El Ritmo Barbaro, an incessant mantra of a beat that goes through the gears quite nicely and which is then followed by the uplifting rush of Orgasmico. The latter tracks take their foot off the pedal, lending a less manic air to proceedings. Still, these machine-tooled slabs of remixes wouldn't go amiss in any self-respecting dance fan's collection.
