Why Broken Tail Records decided to unite Ben Marwood with Heartwear Process on the same release may well be one of life's great mysteries. Marwood plays laid-back and wonderfully melodic modern folk to perfection and doesn't understand why people buy James Blunt records. Heartwear Process carries the blatant noises of Sparklehorse and The Pixies into a neoteric singalong that belongs just as much alongside the current indie elite as it does beside Frank Black or Nick Cave.
