Bad for Lazarus - Old Rats on a New Ship

If anyone among the Brighton psychobilly scene would ever be as purposeful as to assign themselves a modus operandi, you get the sense Rich Fownes' would be "Join as many bands as possible". Erstwhile noisemaker with Eighties Matchbox and countless others, the new name at the top of his CV is Bad for Lazarus. It's fun at first, and their cloth is cut from the same absinthe-stained leather as his former cellmates - an omnipresent ghost train organ, Poison Ivy guitars, menacing vocals... until you realise the absence of any maniacal frenzy or powerful intent, leaving behind a neutered rock 'n' roll retread that's far too derivative to recommend.
