Ardentjohn - Orange Nights

Fresh from giving the headline acts a run for their money at Leith Sessions, Ardentjohn's second release will do their swelling local reputations no harm at all. Sounding a bit like Elbow on holiday, Orange Nights is an infectious, jangly acoustic number that begs you to crack open a cold one, kick back and enjoy the summer. Its "the sunshine man is here" refrain, sung in charming falsetto, has the parasitic quality to lie in your brain for days.
