(+44) - Lycanthrope (Polydor)

The fart jokes have gone and just maybe there's a hint of Alkaline Trio in the mix.

Single title: Lycanthrope
Artist: (+44)
Five years after Blink 182 grew up, Lycanthrope, the first single from (+44) sees a return towards the pop-punk sounds of 'Dude Ranch' and 'Enema Of The State'. It's hardly surprising, of course. As Hoppus himself said, "we're two thirds of Blink 182 so we're not afraid of sounding like ourselves." So the fart jokes have gone and just maybe there's a hint of Alkaline Trio in the mix, but I guess this is growing up. If you long for those halcyon days before Blink 182 decided to take themselves seriously, Lycanthrope will serve you well. [Neil Ferguson]
