That Sheffield could produce a band with a sound straight out of the Mojave Desert may seem incredulous but, make no mistake, these sleazy, swaggering riffs would be much more at home in a Nevada strip club than in any of the UK’s drab locales.

Jennifer Lies has already made its impact on UK radio and it’s easy to see why, packed as it is with barbed hooks and a huskily drawled interlude, and TV’s seductive sway matches Chris McClure’s enticing vocals with airy melodies to work its way into the ears, and possibly pants, of whoever hears it. This is possibly the closest Britain has ever gotten to matching Kyuss’ mastery of tripped-out fuzz-rock.
