For twenty years the Sub Club in Jamaica street in Glasgow has been at the forefront of club culture in the city. As the club moves into a new era, this double CD looks back at the last twenty years. It's mixed by the most popular resident DJ duos in recent times - disc one is from Subculture legends Harri and Domenic: a pair who have always been a step ahead and are admired well outside the walls of the Subbie. Their mix pays homage to many of the records and producers that have had an impact over the years in the club and stand out tracks are the likes of Mind of a Machine by Carl Craig and Born to Freak by Steve Poindexter. The mix references many points of time yet are still brought together beautifully. CD 2 is more erratic and less tight, yet that is surely what makes JD Twitch and JG Wilkes and the Optimo club so popular. An excellent parallel to disc one, this mix is sparklingly chaotic and treats us to classics such as Ripples by the Orb and Ibiza by Amnesia.
