Question: What do you get if you cross 'Captain' era Idlewild with 'Mono' era Icarus Line? The answer, probably, is something not all that far away from Die! Die! Die! Searing art-rock with occasional quiet moments, juxtaposed with frenetic punk blasts and crazed screeches. Clocking in with 10 songs in just over 20 minutes, 'Die! Die! Die!' is fast, furious and just a little bit angry. Carrying all the traits of punk and hardcore, it is all held together by the moments that are just that little bit more considered and an occasional penchant for funk-influenced rhythms. In an increasingly boring alternative rock scene, it's refreshing to hear a band that doesn't fit neatly into one of its many niches and derivatives. [Neil Ferguson]
