Watch Spike Jonze's Karen O and Danger Mouse video

Shot live last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, this black and white promo for Karen O and Danger Mouse’s Woman is a stonker

Last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Karen O and Danger Mouse performed Woman, a track from their new joint album, Lux Prima. Nothing unusual there, except that the performance doubled as the live recording of a new video for Woman too.

Operating the camera was Spike Jonze, the ace director of Being John Malkovich, Her, Where the Wild Things Are and countless music videos, including Y Control for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Karen O also wrote the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack and was nominated for the Best Original Song Oscar for The Moon Song, which appeared on Her.

Shot in elegant black and white and in a single, roving, handheld shot, the Lux Prima cut also featured several cameos alongside Karen O and Danger Mouse. Jack White is on drums, Sam Cohen on guitar, and there are a host of dancers, among them Lady Bird actor Beanie Feldstein.
