The National announce new album and world tour

The National are back with new music and a world tour taking in two nights at Edinburgh's Usher Hall and Manchester's Apollo

The National have announced their seventh studio album, Sleep Well Beast, set for release on 8 Sep via 4AD. Produced by Aaron Dessner, with co-production from twin brother Bryce Dessner and fellow bandmate Matt Berninger, Sleep Well Beast is available to pre-order from today at americanmary.com and will be available in CD, digital and double LP formats.

The Cincinnati, Ohio band – currently based in Brooklyn, New York – have also announced a world tour in support of the album, which kicks off in Dublin, Ireland on 16 Sep, and takes in two dates at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall (20&21 Sep), two nights at Manchester's O2 Apollo (22&23 Sep) and four shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo (25, 26, 27 & 28 Sep). The ticket pre-order begins on 15 May and UK and European customers pre-ordering Sleep Well Beast (via specific retailers) before 10am BST on 14 May will receive an exclusive early access code for Monday’s tour presale.
