The 1975 are set to headline next year's Glasgow Summer Sessions on Sunday 25 August 2019 at Bellahouston Park.

The performance will mark the Manchester band's first headline slot at the festival, where they will be joined by Twin Atlantic, You Me At Six, Pale Waves, Ten Tonnes and No Rome.

Set to release their third studio album A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships later this week, the band's first two releases – their eponymous 2013 debut and 2016's I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It – each enjoyed critical and commercial success, with both topping the UK albums chart.

The 1975 join previously-announced headliners The Cure and Foo Fighters, who will take the stage at Bellahouston on Friday 16 August and Saturday 17 August respectively.

Entering its seventh year, Glasgow Summer Sessions has brought a wide range of musicians to Glasgow, from The Killers and Eminem, to Avicii and David Guetta. Last year's line-up included performances from Kendrick Lamar, Catfish and the Bottlemen, N.E.R.D., and Kings of Leon.

Glasgow Summer Sessions will take place at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow; tickets go on sale Friday 30 November at 9am from
