Reform Radio: International Women's Day takeover

Mica Millar will also headline a live performance as part of the station's IWD celebrations

Manchester-based Reform Radio have announced plans for a 24-hour radio broadcast to celebrate International Women's Day 2017, to be accompanied by an live music showcase with an all-female line-up. Headlining the live show is hotly-tipped neo-soul singer Mica Millar, who launches her single My Lover at the event, which takes place at The Whiskey Jar in Manchester on 8 March with highlights to be streamed via Facebook.

Also performing at The Whiskey Jar will be hip-hop/reggae collective Family Ranks, R'n'B artist Mali Hayes and rapper/vocalist Layfullstop, while the full-day broadcast will feature shows by Dr Mystery, The Witching Hour, Andrea Trout, Raised by Feminists, and Oxfam – Future Skills.

Mica Miller's documentary Let's Talk About Sex: Women in Music was broadcast via Reform Radio for IWD 2016, taking an in-depth look at the music industry's infamous gender imbalance. Tickets for the show at The Whiskey Jar are available now, with highlights to be streamed via facebook.com/reformradio.

Launched in 2014, Reform Radio is based at the creative hub of Manchester's Old Granada Studios, with a focus on the UK's best up-and-coming DJs, presenters and artists, and was recently shortlisted by Mixcloud as one of the world's best online radio stations.
