Pixies are going back on the road.  The hugely influential American rock band are crossing the pond this autumn for a huge tour of Europe in September and October, with two performances planned in Scotland. On 22 September, Black Francis and the gang will stop in Glasgow for a show at the O2 Academy, and on the following night they take to the Usher Hall in Edinburgh. The tour coincided with the release of their upcoming album, which follows on the heels of 2016’s Head Carrier.

The band are yet to share the title of the new album, but they will be giving plenty of behind the scenes chat about it on Past is Prologue, a new 12-part podcast that will delve into the making of the upcoming album. The series kicks off 27 June and will lead up to the album’s release. Find out more here.

The other UK cities on the tour include Cardiff, Plymouth, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, London, Newcastle and Belfast as well as Dublin in Ireland.
