You might want to hold on to your mug for this one.

Los Campesinos!, No Age, and Times New Viking have just embarked on a wholesome journey across the isles, appropriately titled the Shred Yr Face Tour. The Scottish leg of the chaos/mayhem/fun times runs in conjunction with the Tennent's Mutual and will go down in the Glasgow School of Arts this Saturday, 18 Oct.

“It’s going to be a really fun one,” says Randy Randall from No Age, and that’s an understatement. There will be plenty of neat things to take home with you: “We’re going to have a 7” single for the song Teen Creeps with a b-side on it. We’re also going to have a 10”—which we should have a few copies of by the Glasgow gig—that’s going to have a Bjork cover on it; that'll be another weird limited edition thing. And some other stuff.”

The other stuff is an exclusive 7” compilation featuring previously unreleased tracks from all three bands. Los Campesinos! cover a Napoleon III remix of Death To Los Campesinos, No Age provide an unreleased track from their early Deleted Art EP, and Times New Viking cover Anything Could Happen by New Zealand power-pop gurus The Clean (and, objectively speaking, it’s probably the best song ever written). And there’s more: limited edition silk-screened posters and t-shirts designed by Seattle artist Carlos Ruiz will also be available at the shows.

This isn’t just a tour, it’s something else all together.
